COALCREST
How we write and check our guides
Coalcrest’s source, correction and affiliate standards.
Useful advice starts with a clear question and evidence that helps answer it.
Sources you can follow
We favour UK regulators, official bodies and manufacturer manuals. Each guide links its sources and records a checked date. A checked date means the references were reviewed, not that a product was tested.
Tools that show the assumptions
Our calculators separate arithmetic from judgement. Portion allowances, cook-time ranges and recipe percentages are editable. A calculator cannot confirm food is safely cooked or decide when dough is ready.
Kit and commercial links
Specification-based advice says so. We do not publish invented product experience, star ratings or fixed product prices. Affiliate links have an Ad label and are disclosed before the first link.
Corrections
If a source changes or something looks wrong, please email webmaster.jarvis@gmail.com with the page address and the detail to check. Safety corrections take priority.
